universal joint, what sound?
My 89 roadster has been makeing a sound like an exhaust pipe hitting the x member but I can feel a vibration under drivers side floor board
there is no sound undre exceleration or slowing down and after everything gets to normal operating temp it seems to go away, could this be my universdal joints from the trans?motor mount? loose torque converter? ANYONE/

I'd get the car up on jacks (at least rears), place transmission in neutral (motor off), then spin the rear tires by hand and listen for source of noise, while your down there grab the exhaust and see if its loose.

I just had two u-joints replaced in the right half-shaft and the symptom was a "ticking" under light-moderate acceleration at low speed.
Jack the left side (use a safety support) and see if the exhaust is touching the frame or a bolt anywhere.
