Hello
I have a 84 vette my problem is that it stats up with a lil probelm but it does start going then. I gota keep my foot on the gas to keep it running but sometimes it will run ok untill i put it in gear to drive then it will stale out any idea. new plugs and wires but that dident help

Start with the basics spark and fuel. If you have good spark and are sure of your work then go to gas. Could possibly be fuel pump, filter. Don't just go out and replace parts find your problem first. Your fuel pressure should be between 9-13 psi
Don't want to sound dumb but it does have gas in it? Don't always believe what the fuel gauge is telling you. I refill everytime I get to half a tank.
