having a prob after my lt1 corvette underdrive pulley swap. with that aftermarket crank/alt pulley the car wont charge, with e aftermarket crank and stock alt pulley now it charges but my powersteering only works when the rpms are up, any help? this is sorta a tuff question i think thanks always mike
mine was going away when downshifting to 2nd this weekend for hair pin....not the place to loose power steering by any means. i think my junk belt is slipping. you got a good one? i run a gator back on my c6 with a procharger. it don't even have to be tight and no slip at all. it has 45 degree grooves running across the belt so it has tons of grip...that my next move b4 anything else
Maybe you should check for leaks, specially at the PS pump, pressure hose and gear rack.
If for some reason you are loosing pressure the rack will not do the work correctly.
Also check if your car has morning sickness and steering works intermitently. It could be your rack.
Anyway, you say that the problem is with low RPM's, so I guess that the pump is not doing the work correctly. Check for correct fluid level and without bubbles that means aereation.
