Question about this system.. I tested the system by letting air out of each tire one at a time till the light came on, then refilling each one till the light went out.
Well, today I took the oem wheels off and installed a set of chrome ZR1 wheels.. I did not move the sensors over to the new wheels and fully expected the warning light on the dash to light up when I started the car after putting the new wheels on.. thing is.. it didn't.
I took the car for a ride just in case the oem wheels that were still in the garage were too close to the car and the warning light still hasn't come on.
Anyone have a good reason why a system that was tested a few weeks ago suddenly wouldn't trip the light when changing the wheels??
There were two systems in the C4's...I'm fairly sure...early & late. I think after 92 (?) the sensors and maybe the black box were changed slightly.
The early system as I understand it will not set the light for low pressure if all the sensors are removed. At least that's what the people with the 90 ZR-1's say about not installing any of the sensors.
Thanks.. I just really expected the warning light to come on and when it didn't I started second guessing whether or not the sensors had an issue (which would be bad because I sold the set of 4 to another forum member and will be shipping them out Saturday)
