Checking fuel flow in 84
I cant believe this ..everything was going fine and I shut off the engine and come back and it wont start . I took filter off ..it was good but cleaned it anyway . I do not feel the pump is bad ,is there an easy way to check or identify the problem? Thanks ...Richard

It may be a good idea to just see what FP you are running. Check it between the TBs. 14psi works best for a stock or slightly modded CFI motor. You may not have a bad pump, but you may need to bump up the FP at the regulator on rear TB. If the pump is weak, replace it with an 85 vette pump, direct swap.

The spec on the fuel pressure of the '84 is 9 to 13 PSI. If the fuel pressure does not drop from idle to the highest attained RPMs under the highest load, the fuel pump is doing it's job admirably.
