I had the magnaflows on my LT-4 and no resonance issues at all. I even ended up removing the resonator and had no problems.

I think most people that complain seem to have automatics.

Are the magna's the 3" or the 2.5" inlets? I may be interested in taking them off your hands. What kind of shape are they in. I had them on my 84 with headers and cats. I thought they sounded great. At cruise motor sounded had a audible purrrring sound. Didn't use the radio cause I loved the sound of the exhaust.

With a six speed, you can shift out of the resonance band. Not so easy to do with a 4speed auto. At least mine has a 3.07 rear, as long as I'm going over 65, it isn't an issue. It's bad from about 1800 to 2000 rpm.

I had Flowmaster mufflers a few years back, and they would give me a headache by the time I got to work, during the week.
I bought some cheap tailpipe expanders at the local parts store, painted them black, and lubed the threads with antisieze.
Slid them in as far as I could, tighten with a socket extension and a screw driver (to keep them from turning until they bit).
A little gas and noise leak by them, but the noise was cut dramatically.
In on week day's, out on the weekend or racing.
Eventually just left them in, never noticed any power difference, when you consider one pipe into the muffler and two out.

Like these from Harbor Freight..... $12 each
