Videos of Solid Rear Setup...
There is still improvement to be had though, since when I was designing the setup, I planned on running 28" tires, but when I got it all together I could easily fit 30" tires under the car. So that is what I went with; but that killed my gearing that I planned to run when I ordered the rear. I had 4.10s in it from Moser and that is what is in it now; but with the 2" taller tires they are more like 3.73s. So I have a set of 4.56 gears that might be going in real soon.
All in all I am very happy with the setup and the work that was done to the car. Its SOOOOO much fun to get up to the light and not have to worry about it busting into a million pieces.
Keep in mind in the vids I had my full exhaust on the car that costs me .2sec and 20 gallons of fuel in the car, so those runs with the open exhaust would have been near 10.2, my best ever before was 10.15 in Jersey in super good air, the DA in there were around 2800ft.

When I was using the 13x30-31" tire it was 4.88 and the 14w x32" tire car was 5.38 geared. so I can see either you stay with the ratio for the set-up and change tire or vise versa. Which ever your formula, I'm sure you will be going faster much more reliably now

I'd be interested to see the difference with the 4.56 gears.
I've got 4.88 in mine with a 28" tire. Let me know how you get a 30"er in yours.
you should have no trouble getting 30" tires under your too.
All you have to do is change your shock mount, to give the axle more room to the bottom of the car. In other words raise the rear of the car ride height to give you the clearance you need.
My instant center is currently 42.6 out and 5.3" high. After talking with some guys, they think if I drop the lower bar down 1 hole in both the front and back it will give the car more lift in the front. And that will give me a IC of 46.9 and 4.04 high. Should give it more leverage and more pitch rototation.
I do not want the car doing huge wheelie, so I kept the IC back a little for starters.
I am very pleased with the way the car left the line - straight as an arrow. That is the way my dads car leaves even with the car on the back bumper, need to in that thing to keep the weight on the tires, but this feels very similiar.
As mentioned prior, with the exhaust and all the extra fuel I have do run with the car would have near matched my previous best already.
There is no doubt in my mind the solid rear is much more efficient.
Thanks for the comments....if you need more specifics on how to move your rear, get me some photos and I will walk you through what to change to get it to fit the tires.
The radial slicks feel like your on street tires at the top end....REALLY STABLE and work great off the line too. They are the new big ticket, but the suspension has to be working.
