Had mine done at a trans shop 20.85 for the filter and gasket 15.00 for the fluid and 25.00 labor. for 25.00 I dont think I would crawl under the car and deal with the mess. Just my thoughts.........
Yep, fairly easy. Hardest part is jacking the car up where it is safe enough to get under it. Have something to catch the fluid in and unbolt the pan. Make sure you have a tranny pan gasket, filter, and fluid ready to go.
Thanks guys.I'm going to tackle it in the morning. I have the parts and fluid so I'm ready to go!
Any secrets on draining the fluid before pulling the pan off?
dont take all the bolts out, take most of em out, leave maybe 2 on the front or back half way out, remove the ones on the opposite side and try to drain the pan as much as possible, than remove the remaining bolts. Not fool proof but its harder to make a mess that way
Good idea on the siphon Pete I just make a mess that takes longer to clean up then changing the gasket. It is not hard at all using Pete K's idea will make it easier. Donf
