Default stranded

hi! the other day i drove about 50 miles from home looking for a corvette shop that was in the area, and got lost.well,i stopped at a conveince store to ask directions and when i got back in the car(90 coupe) it would not do anything!tried to jump it off, pushing it off, etc.but nothing. i then hired a rollback man to take us home, which he did. when we got in the driveway i said "see if it will start-and he got in and cranked it up and drove it off the rollback truck.then he smiled and said that'll be 140.00 please.---my question is how can i bypass the lock out..thanks, john

Take your vats key to a lock smith or true value/do it best/ACE and find out the number of the key 1-15 then order a bypass kit from one of the Vette parts catalogs.

and do a Search for VATS.

just went through the same thing with my 93. Tested everything I could think of. Find out my vats is going bad so I did a search and found how to bypass it. You just use a resistor that is the same as your key. Cut the wires from your steering column to the vats system(guess this is where it goes) put your resistor on the wires and it should start up. I know mine did. Took me about 7 days to figure it out but now its starts great everytime
