Help us understand our tap problem as CFI-EFI has asked. As for the heli-coil do not use them. Use something like these locking inserts key locking inserts these things I swear by I use them on heavy duty machinery and stamping presses at work, they do not fail and allow you to remove the bolts, heli-coil sometimes want to come out with the fastener which would be a PIA on a head. Give us the thread pitch and diameter and I can tell you what proper size drill to use.

Cast Iron will tap different will be more powdery than conventional metals such as AL and steel.

Well, guys it seems the tap in the kit sucked. I went up to the store and bought another tap of that size and it tapped fine. What a PITA. I could not find a timesert, I hope Heli Coils are not total pieces of crap, I installed the coil and torqued it down to spec without a problem. I don't plan on having my heads off much lol. I've been fighting this problem for over 2 months and just want to see if it'll start finally. I permatexed all the threads tightened them to spec got the intake on permatexed those threads and torqued that. Tommorow I am going to put on the headers and get to hooking back up the connections. If anyone has pictures of their motors close up on both sides with the connections it would be appreciated. As for my setup the only change to stock is I don't have AC nor the smog pump setup.
