Default Cooling the Brakes

Hello Vetters

OK my new "Auto Drag III" wheels are in.... They are a solid face rim, click on link below...

http://www.centerlinewheels.com/whee...ehicle&data=7#
If not sound off...

Any-way, as you can see I need to get AIR to the brakes. I realize that I can get a front spoiler w/brake cooling ducts, but what about the rear brakes.... I cant seem to find a system that does the same as the front spoiler system...

Thank You for your guidance...........

How do you know you need more cooling? Are you measuring rotor temps? Getting fade? The rotor will cool more if you run it hotter, assuming you have a pad and fluid that can take the extra heat.

Maybe naca ducts on the rocker panels? (don't think there's a path) can you pull air from under the car, or run a duct to a negative pressure area? Or electric fans that they use for the little fake superchargers.

It seems like bigger rotors would be a easier solution, assuming you actually need the extra cooling.

Or Camaro-esque fender flares with functional cooling ducts?

Why do you need to cool them? Are you running hard on a road course? A solid face drag wheel doesn't sound like a good choice for a road course. If you are going to track the car I would put R-compounds on the stock wheels and leave the drag wheels for the drag track.

Next time your in the East Bay, give me a call. I am in Castro Valley. I would be happy to show you my setup. The car is on jackstands right now. As the others have said, you don't have to worry about the rears; I have got spindle ducts from ZR1 MK along with the air dam up front. You will only need to go that route if you road race it.
