ac 82 vette tpi
I have a 85 vette the ac will not turn on is there any place i should start looking to see why it will not turn on like a fuse or relay . i just want to make sure the compressor is bad i'm going to change it over to 134 is that a hard thing to do?????

Low freon will cause it not to come on. Changing to 134 you need to change the filter dryer. The aluminium can just in front of the compressor. Get as much of the oil out of the old compressor as possible and fill with ester or PAG oil. This should be done with the compressor removed. Keep track of how much oil you get into the compressor. The system will need 12.5 Oz total oil and about 24 Oz freon. Look for leaks before you start so you don't wast your time and money. Leaks will appear as an oily spot.
