Default Auto Trany Shifting Points

I have a stock L98,700-R4,2.73(roadster) set up. When racing/getting on it, is it best to let off the gas a little bit to allow the trany to shift or keep it floored.

Thanks in advance,

Chuck :yesnod:

Unless a '88 is alot different than my '96, I woulds say to the floor.

On a good running tranny........floor it.......something might be amiss if you have to back out to get it to shift! These were not made to blow up if floored...the reason they go bad is the repeated movements.......think about how many times my 91 tranny has shifted, floored or not, after 110,000 miles! But.......if maintained properly.......they should last much longer than this!!! :yesnod:
