Here is another one on the C- Beam. If I remember right, I couldn't take the C-Beam out until the rear end was loose. So anyone with knowledge on this, please speak up. Can the chunk inc. bat wing, and driveline be installed, and the C-Beam put in last, Or is there a certain technique or order of installation??? I'm appreciating the help men...
The last time I put the C-beam in seperately it was a pia. When I reinstalled my differential, I had the C beam bolted loosely up to the tranny and the tranny lowered a bit to drop the back of the C-beam. Remember to pull the distributor cap.
The differential went in fairly easy on a jack. I angled it to be in the C-beam & jacked the differential & the tranny slowly and it went in easier than I expected.
Good luck!!!!
I managed to get it in seperatly, third member in place, by lowering the transmision and pushing it to one side. Shouting a few epitaphs helps. Put in drive shaft before bolting the C beam in place. Most important Have Fun
