Default Zex nitrous questions.....

I am going to get a Zex nitrous kit, I think the 82023 is the kit I need for a '89 L98. I have 2 questions. First, where do you guys mount the spray distribution? The only thing between the airflow sensor and the throttle body is an accordion-like black air tube. I was told the nitrous/enrichment fuel had to enter before the TB but after the mass airflow sensor. Second, I'm getting a kit without a bottle and buying a different bottle. What size bottle nut will I need to hook up to the Zex kit? I think it is either -4AN or -6AN. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Most kits tell you to install the nozzle about 6 inches in front of the throttle plates, not the throttle body. The zex can be a 6 an or a 4 an.Most I have found are a 6 an,on the dry kits I have filled.

so where do you see most of the nozzles installed on the L98 engines? I take it that the throttle plates are inside the throttle body?

Well their are 2 ways get the solid hose from midamerica or use the one on the car.Your nozzle has a threaded nut that one goes inside the intake hose and the other holds the nozzle in place to tighten it up.
Measure from the throttle plates to the end of the throttle body and subtract that from six inches out and that is where you make your hole and use lots of sicalone to seal it.
Make sure the nozzle opening points to the throttle body.
You can install the nozzle in any posession upside down on the side or what ever.

Thanks so much for your help. I greatly appreciate the advice and that's what I'll do.

Why would zex make this great little brain thing and omit a throttle plate? is there something wrong w/ the plate? it just seems like a cut and silicone job isnt as clean, or strong, or even spraying as the plate. If the plate is better... I can just buy a NOS plate and hook up the Zex lines to it right?

No ,everyone uses different jets. The flow is different and so on.
I would have gone with barry grant plate looks good and not like an after thought.
You could sell it,buy a new billows from mid america and start again.
