bad idle
Not my problem, but trying to help a friend. Car runs fine above 1k rpm. At idle it misses and low rpm starts it wants to die. If I put a piece of paper at exhaust tip and at idle it will blow and suck. Car is strong above 1100rpm. No smoke, but smells rich at idle. High mileage car, but unknown mileage since rebuild. My guess would be carboned or burnt exhaust valves. No codes. If anyone has any ideas please chime in. What bothers me is the negative pressure at the exhaust.

trying cleaning the IAC and throttle body with throttle body cleaner.....that solved my problem. my IAC was really gummed up. I have an LT-1...so not sure if this would be the same for another model.
