Default 1990 Radio

I have been told that if an after market radio and speakers is installed the car must be rewired. Anyone have experience with this?

Default Hi Bill,,,

Take a look at the Audio/Electronics forum. There are a TON of FAQs there that will answer your question.

It does, but I had a guy do mine and it works perfectly, even the antenna. One nice thing he did was to rig the antenna to go down when I play a CD or my MP3 player.

I used the exsiting wiring for the speakers, just have to get a a wiring diagram and trace it . Mine sounds great with a Pioner head and speakers. Of coarse I had to make new speaker inclosers .Check the audio section,a wealth of info there.
Good Luck
