Just installed an ATI Super Damper (917274) on a 388 LT1.
The damper is 7.530" diameter, which is larger than the stock 96 LT1 pulley, so I need a slightly longer belt.
Has anyone run a damper/pulley of that diameter and can recommend the length I need?
I could trial and error this, but what a PIA that could turn out to be.
I was going to use the tape/string method but couldn't figure out how to factor in the tensioner's effect on belt length.
Thanks for the help.
Jake
For future reference ==> Anyone who has done it..how do you account for the tensioner? Have someone hold it at midpoint? Hold it full pressure on it? Go straight through it, essentially ignoring it?
