Solid rear 4-link .....
The 4-link is working near flawlessly.....can't beleive how consistent the car is. The track has ZERO prep on it and the car was HOOKIN hard, pullin the front off the ground about 28" (about the height of the front tires) - and carrying them out to about the 50' mark on every run.
The first 60' time when we got there and the air was little cooler was a 1.39. The rest were all at 1.42X - Ran a total of 7 times and every run was with a few thousands in 4 of the 7 were 1.421!
Due to the car having 30" tall tires, originally planned to put 28" tires on it - with 4.10 gears - so I lost some gearing that I had planned on with the 30" tall tires on the rear. So I am going to be installing 4.56 gears this week and then it should really cook out of the hole.
There were a few mustangs there running - and I tried to line up against them a few times, but they kept dodging.
Forgot the darn video camera otherwise I would have some nice vids to share......sorry.
Oh yeah, best ET yesterday in the heat was 10.2@134MPH.
Thanks for the comments....

Ok, I'm impressed!
I'll search, but is there a thread about the suspension? Pics?

Dave, I don't know if it was THAT high, but it was eating pretty good. Tough to tell from in the car, but it was all hood and sky with no track to be seen on the launches. Still working the bugs out and suspect the gears will make it work even better.
I was more impressed with the consistency of the car - it was dead on with 4 of the 7 runs with the other only off a few thousands. Hope the gears do not unpset that - but you know me, I love experimenting.
End MPHs were in the 134 range - not sure if I mentioned that.
Dave also is that vette yours? If so awesome car - trade you!
Looks like the chevelle.
Thats my nostalgia car I'm playing with, what a blast! Blew up the 355 that was in it, but I put those heads and intake on a 10.8 street engine and it still goes 9.9-10.0 with a 250 cam! Who needs a big cam and 14:1 compression anyway.
I plan on going to BSR on the 15th for the Nostalgia Nationals maybe we'll see ya' there, tell Dad to bring the Chevelle and we'll have a ball!
Dave

PS-It's that high with the wheelie bars on, you should have seen it when the back bummper was on the track!

We will plan for the 15th (of July right?) what is the criteria for the racing? I will have to look.
Please stay in touch with your plans and we can get together and crank off some 9s runs together.
Talk to you later.
