Heads Question...
Hey there Guys,
I have decided to go with 190 AFR heads. Were is the best place to buy them? Air Flow Research wants 1250.00 for them complete. These would be the street heads. I think they will do more than what I want. Goal is to be in the 12's with a superram, heads, 219 cam, aftermarket base. Do you think I will make it with these heads. The main question is were to get the heads from. Thanks and I look forward to hearing from the EXPERTS. Thanks

I think you are better off getting them directly from AFR. I don't see any price advantage with anyone else who sells them.
i would suggest a few options that will up the price slightly. Get 7/16 rocker studs (+/- $25), unless you already have 3/8 lifters. You should get them milled to match the comp ratio you want (+/-$100). If you are, or may be in the future, concerned about emissions you might need to have them drilled for the EGR (+/-$50)...later models don't need this, but i don't remember the year of the switch. You will also need to drill out for the coolant temp sensor and the Aux fan sensor (+/- $50).
The combo should easily be good for 12's or even 11s if you optimize the car for drag racing (ie converter, tires/wheels, gears, etc).
