Installing RR's...whats involved?

I just purchased a pair 1.6 rr and I have never put a set on before. Whats involved? I have never had the valve covers off in this car. How much needs to be removed to gain access to them? What kind of torque should these rr's been torque down to??

Any help is much appreicated.

By the way its an 84 and the rr's are Comp Cam 1.6 3/8 stud, with only roller tips.

The Search feature will give you the info your looking for: Search/Advanced/Archive Posts (do it for General & Tech section of C4).

If you have the stock heads, you may have to open up the push rod holes where they come thru the head, using the 1.6 R.R. will put the pushrod closer to the rocker stud.
