Default 1988 4+3 to zf conversion

I am converting a 1988 4+3 to a 1993 black tag zf 6 speed. I am confused on the clutch / flywheel issue. Can I use my flywheel and if so what clutch do I use? The 1989-1991 or the 1992-1193. thanks for any help.

Default flywheel

I read somewhere the reason they went to the dual mass flywheel was the gear noise transmitted to the car from a regular flywheel when starting from a stand-still.
I understand the dual mass sort of cushions the initial shock that makes the gear noise. If that noise wouldn't bother you (and I think it would be a badge of accomplishment) go for it.

I just did mine but I converted to the Mcleod push type clutch. Like Bogus said, check for Central Coaster and do a search and you will find a lot of info.

1) Click search
2) Click advanced (small print on bottom)
3) Type in......zf swap,etc...
4) **Click on Archives at bottom of window
5) **Highlight the forum to look in (C4 Tech...)
6) Search
