Default 85 with mush for brakes

Reading over the forums about what to do to fix our brake problem.

Apparently, over the course of several weeks the MC lost fluid in the rear tank, I had just put speedbleeders on so I thought that I might of not gotten them all tight or something. We filled the rear tank back up but now we do not have any brakes to speak of. It feels as though the rears are grabbing but the fronts are not.

So first of, I pulled both covers of off the reservoir tanks and had the wife push on the peddle, got a little wave in the rear tank, but nothing in the front one. Any ideas?

I was going to go ahead and pull the MC and bench bleed it, I don't know how empty the tank was when the wife added the brake fluid, but it could of gotten air in it.

Also, on our MC, it has the two brake lines coming out of the passenger side of the unit and one out of the bottom, in addition to the sensor location. What is the one coming out of the bottom for? It looks like it heads to the front end of the car on the drivers side. Do I need to block it off somehow while I bench bleed the MC?

Thanks.

Time to replace the MC.

You should be hunting for where the missing fluid has gone.
Might try looking in the booster if its not on the ground.

I have got a new MC coming.

When we bench bled the MC last night, we got a few bubbles out of the rear hook-up point, and then the fluid flowed good. Never got any bubbles out of the front side, so I pulled the hose out of the reservoir and I wasn't getting any fluid out of the hose either.

As for the fluid, I don't know where it went, the back of the MC looked fine, and there was not any apparent leakage on the booster. Once I get the MC back on and bleed all of the lines I'll keep a close eye on it.

If the booster was going, where would you find the fluid at?
