Default Knock Sensor on 1995

Hi Guys,

I have recently order a updated PCM through PCMforless. I was told that it would be a good idea to order a knock sensor from a 1996 LT4.

I have actually ordered one through my dealer and was wondering where the heck does it go? Anyone have pics?

Thanks

okay, after finding some posts on this subject it looks like I have two Knock Sensors located on the block.

I believe I ordered ONE LT4 Knock Module...which plugs into the back of the PCM. Does this sound correct?

okay...figured it out! Ebay

Knock Sensor Module:

This is a very common upgrade that people perform on cars with an LT1engine to prevent the computer from pulling out excessive timing.

This modification will help your car perform better, especially at higher rpm's. All you have to do is pull the cover off the back of the electronic control module (ECM) and switch the modules. This can be performed in minutes with simple hand tools.

They must've changed locations, then. On a 1992 LT-1 the spark module is located on the blower motor housing on the passenger side of the car.

Right. On my 86 it's mounted to the blower housing on the passenger side, but on my 96 it's on the PCM itself.

I made the swap to a LT4 module several months ago and it was a very simple swap.
