Yes, I installed the Delteq about three years ago and love it. Have I had problems, yes but the tech support from Pete and JC is second to none. The first problem I had was I bought a bad Opti from GM but Pete worked with me for about a week to help me find a problem that had nothing to do with the Delteq system The second problem just happened about 3 months ago, my car would just up and die for no reason then I could wait about 2-5 Min and it would start back up. JC sent me a new Opti box and I was back in business.
The Delteq DIS conversion package is a good product, and Delteq is a good company to deal with. Just be aware that the system only replaces the high voltage (distributor) section of the Opti. The optical camshaft sensors in the Opti must still be present and functional. That's not a knock on the Delteq, but is something of which you should be aware.
I installed the Delteq system on my 96 after my local chevy dealer said my Optispark was bad. It had a complete MSD cover installed. I just removed the plug wires and installed the Delteq per instructions (performing each check along the way) and all my miss went away and has stayed away. The main difference is the Delteq takes several turns of the starter to start, where my opti fired the motor instantly.
Thanks
I have heard that the bailey unit is good, however it is not a compete kit, you must make your own mounting bracket and such. My Opti is getting old and I know it is just a matter of time. The Delteq seems the way to go.

I put an LTCC setup on my car, and yes, you have to make some of your own parts.
Mojave,
Did you fabricate the coil brackets yourself?
I have been considering the LTCC.
Yeah. I welded threaded hex standoffs to the valve cover bolts. I put the coils on pieces of all-thread. I made L brackets that bolt to the standoffs and the all-thread.
If you don't have the LT4 valve covers with the large bolts, you could probably weld the standoffs to the metal valve covers.
Thanks

You will still need to replace the opti if it goes out. Delteq or no.
Here's the Delteq mounted on my 92, along with the Dyna spark opti for the signal. And if you want the coolest cover you can pick up one of these for about $100.

Delteq is great. I cut the rotor off of the Opti, loctited the rotor down, RTV'd the thing to hell and back and moved on. The DELTEQ has one feature that needs help, getting a tach shift light to work. I know I got allotof help rom guys, but my MSD shift light just wouldnt work. I think the MSD tach adapter that goes under the coil is the answer. But, other than that, this thing is great.
And Baileys LTCC is awesome too, and no complaints from anyone that I know of.
what about the plug wires for the deltag, looks like a custom set so if one gets burned can you buy replacements, the ltcc takes ls1 plug wires.both look like great products.

I bought a set of wires and connectors from Taylor, then a crimper from Taylor and did my own. After doing this I realized I had been wasting money for years because I didnt do this myself. It was too easy.
