Thanks for the info but I'm looking for the Sending Unit to which the pump attaches - the thing in the picture with the filler neck, the float, wiring harness, etc.
It's AC Delco part #25093414 but it's discontinued here in the Toronto Area.

What year is your car? This is vital info for any technical query. I'm looking at a complete drop-in sending unit, fuel pump and etc. assembly that I have on hand for my '95. It has nothing that looks like the part in question in your picture.
I'm doubting that the sending units are available new anymore from GM, as they've discontinued so much for the C4s. Perhaps someone's offering them in the aftermarket but if so, I haven't a clue as to who that might be. If so, they're likely NOS so you'd better grab one while you can.
88' fuel level sending units are different than all other C4 years. I have been trying to find one for months with no luck. I think I'm going to have to find a good used unit.

I bought a bunch of stuff from them in the past..you can try them if you cant find a good unit for your car.Never had any issues with them or their parts.
Btw,to the original poster,I dont know what the white block is for..I assumed it was to hold the wires together in there.
I was thinking of getting rid of it to make the rewiring easier but I decided it best to leave it in tact just in case it does have some electrical purpose.
As for where to get the sending unit - GOOGLE to the rescue:
Pacific Corvette seems to list them for $460 - not bad given that I was told they can go for $800 or more.
