CC306 Cam breaking Valvetrain????? HELP!
My point was that without the rocker on you have x.xx installed height. On a normal (non-milled) head when you lash the rocker that would set preload at the correct height. If you milled the heads however and didn't take into account the different pushrod length needed you may run into problems there.
Valve train geometry could be the culprit here.

Whoa... you are in Bardstown!
What about a helping hand? We sure could use it... the local machine shop did all this work and its been impossible to get straightened out. I am not all that familiar with valvetrain geometry. It would be nice to have someone shine some light on this situation.
Yup, in Bardstown. I have seen this car riding around town on a couple accasions. Did you guys have Mattinglys build the motor in that car?
I can take a look at it if you like. Send me a PM and I can give you my number if want. Here is my car.....

I installed my valvesprings last night thanks to the help of my uncle Larry
. Now all I have to do is adjust my rocker arms and I should be ready for Bowlingreen
. Although I just heard some more bad news about 918 beehive valvesprings! I guess I'll just have to see what happends
. Oh yeah I can't forget about the help from 95bluebomber, thanks for the leg work. J

There is nothing wrong with the Beehives, just the beehives sold through Comp Cams as the batches from late 2006 to present were made in an inferior company in Mexico as they were otsourced.
By from here, they are the best on the market and the original company Comp Cams had make them. There are two beehives for your heads, 1218's, which are good to 600 lift and 1518 which are same size etc, just nitrided for durability and are good for 650 lift.

The rocker arms are adjusted and the car seems to be running good
. I'm going to drive it for about a 100 miles and check everthing again just to make sure nothing is loose.
