Well, I've been chasing a short in my 87 for some time now. For some reason my "tail light" fuse blows within hours of driving my car at night. I first checked all sockets and any wires/grounds and all looked good, until I realized my fog lights and front signal are also on this circuit.
So I found a turn signal buld with one of it's elements loose and touching the other element (its a two element bulb), could this cause a short??
I also found that the fog light bulbs were replaced with a wrong model number and the Watt's on them were 37.5 compared to the new stock ones I bought were 27 Watt's.
I haven't had a chance to go for a long ride and test to see if this will fix my fuse blowing problem. Do you think either of these could have been the cause??????????
