I missed that post. Where is your post that I agreed with? In the beginning, before I suspected this might become a pissing contest, I even gave a gratuitous to include the irrelevant, incorrect post by 89 Bob L., when I said, "All of the above". As stated above, I admit I am not alway right. A strive to give complete, relevant, correct information. As human, sometimes I fail. I am not above admitting it, however.

Why are you even IN this thread? You haven't had one word to say on the subject. You showed up shoveling manure and stinking (not a typo) your nose in other people's business. Contribute to the OP, or butt out!

Oh, I'll be around. Someone has to watch you. I have been insulted by people a lot better at it than you. Sitting behind a computer keyboard and pontificating is your style. I'll bet you aren't so provocative in person. Easy or they will put back in timeout.

I see two people in this thread making things personal. You are one of them. You had zero information to offer in this post, but chose to jump in anyways.
Not me. I am a pacifist!

You are the one in line for a time out, jumping into a thread where you've had no participation, just to stir the pot.

I imagine as soon as the mods figure out that you are a previously banned member, you'll be down the road, until you can sneak back in again. Nice profile. Are you ashamed of something? Kobbled Vette? N.C. Kid? Vettespeed No. 9? There are so many, I just can't think of them all.

CFI, I believe Warp8 is asking about the post of mine that you "agreed" with? Post #4, where I said the fans don't come on until 228 degrees.

This very well could be wrong, but it is close enough for what the OP was asking about. On my 1996, while watching the digital temp gauge the fans kick on at 228. I have looked in my FSM and for the life of me can't find an actual temp. listed. Can someone give me a page number this is listed on in the '96 FSM?

You are correct. Page 6-639 second column. Third paragraph.

Thank you for helping with the page number.

High speed on at 228. When I said fans on at 228, that is when I hear them come on according to my digital temp gauge. So, that must be them coming on "high". On low you can't hear them running.

I was looking everywhere in the cooling section (pages 6-157 through 6-207) and couldn't find that

Thanks again, and I apologize if my original number was slightly off

Maybe, but he said in his post at 5:36 PM, today "What about my post? And the fact that you agreed with an incorrect post.". That sounds as though he is saying that I agreed with an incorrect post of HIS, which of course he never posted. Again, as I said above, I wasn't so concerned with the specific on/off temps and their accuracy, because they weren't the substance of the OP's question. I don't KNOW all the different on/off temps for all the various years. I don't pretend to and I would never say that I do. The Warped 7-7/8 Kid is just trying to stir stuff. He isn't worth the trouble.

The point I was agreeing to, for the most part, was that you and others were making the OP aware of the C4s normal operating temps and trying to be sure whether he really had an overheating problem, or not. It was in THAT post that I let him know that his car didn't have a fan switch. The " " was mostly, just along for the ride and to help keep things friendly and light. Failed again!

CFI, you can't pick and choose, you agree to all of what someone posts, everyone else is free to criticize you for what parts are wrong. Funny how no one said anything to the guy who posted it though.

Maybe next time you'll know better than to agree with anyone!

Since the OP got his question answered, do any of you believe he is still reading all this?

I saw the error in Rollo's post but lefoy84 had already posted the correct numbers. By then CFI boy was studying his temp switch manual and chastising lefoy84. I think Rollo saw his error without having it pointed out to him. I remain mystified at this forum's acceptance of CFI's abrasive delivery. I think he owns stock in Helm, Inc. (FSM) He is one of the reasons people are either afraid to post or leave in frustration after having their butt handed to them. His words don't affect me. My dogs still love me.

He's probably laughing his butt off. Where else can you get entertainment like this. Or ripping out his temp sensor due to lefoy84's gross error.
