Default Tranny question??

Hi to all,Ready to start engine after lt1 intake conversion,cam,heads ect. Would it hurt my r700 to break in the cam with the TV cable disconnected??,I still have to fab a bracket for it.I will be running it for a 1/2 hour @ appox 2000 rpms.Thanks for any input on this.

As far as I know having the TV cable disconnected makes the pressure very low witch could damage the trans. I would not do it! Maybe someone that knows a lot about the trans will chime in with aa easy solution.

Pressure is used and needed to apply clutches and keep them from slipping. In neutral, with no load applied, there should be no harm in breaking in a cam without the TV functional. I am rather certain of this, but I'd feel better with Pete K.s input.

I agree. Line pressure needed in park or neutral is minimal. "shoud" be fine to deal with it (the bracket mod)later.
