Default Two clutch slave questions

Has anyone found a place that sells replacements slave piston seals for a Wagner unit? Does anyone know a place that's selling decent clutch slaves with the seal in correctly??

Thanks,

Jim

Hi Jim, I have tried to get the OEM rebuilding kits & have found that they were disconned. I have looked around @ rockauto, AZ, Wholesalepartswarehouse.com, etc. & not found any one listing them any longer.

I guess it's NLA on that stuff. I also don't know what GM & TRW did about the Q/C issues. I have never seen any written statement by GM about admitting bad Q/C. The only thing I know for sure is that the on-line GM dealer I always buy parts from was O/S on slaves & M/C's and the arrival date for new stock was to be june-july 07. This was from Dec of 06 when I made my inquirey.

It would sure be nice to find a rebuild kit. Saved the originals just in case, dont trust these replacements to last very long.

You know you bought a POS when it comes with directions on how to rebuild. (mine did). Thats sayin somethin

If there were any Engineer types out there, we could basically make a drawing with the ID, OD, Height and cross section.

Then send it out to all the Injection molding guys and see who may have a mold that fits.

Medical industry does this all the time. any material needed.

Me??? don't tempt me. I have a lot of irons in the fire as it is.

Thanks guys. I;m going to do a little searching on Monday. I suspect I'll come up with the same answer, no replacement seals available. I sent an e-mail to Bill over at ZFDOC to see if he had any luck getting replacement parts.

Boy these clutch hydraulics are frustrating.
