Default Give me the scoop guys.....

Ok here is the big question:
I am going to get heads for my car...with them will be a superram, 219 cam, accell base, and oviously the heads. What I would like to achieve is 12 consistently...I understand there are other factors involved; like me....heee heee. What I would like to know is how much performance difference will I see between the following heads.

190 AFR Street I think they are the #1088 or #1018 in their catolog

or

Edelbrock performer centerbolt heads 2.02/1.60

I appreciate your help on this. Thanks.

If you plan on just bolting the heads on from them, it is 6 of one, half dozen of the other. They are both OK. What I would suggest is getting the heads bare and then having them Stage II ported and assembled with better components. This is the way we sell them. With a stage II job and the rest of what you have listed, I would say you are good for 11's! As a matter of fact, you could probably squeeze an 11 out on a hot summer day.
Let me know if I can help. :)

I have all the mods that were listed plus a few more, On'y I have a ported stock aluminums with the larger exhaust valve, 3 angle valve job, and fully ported. I feel that my car would run a low 13 to high 12. I don't know what kind of exhaust you have but I was told that in order to hit 12's with this setup you/I will need a better flowing exhaust. Just my 2 cents. Over all I'm happy with my setup. I just need some exhaust work to get the full effect of the more air/fuel.

The exhaust will be headers (hedman long tubes) to a true dual system (no cats) There will be 1.6 roller rockers also....

You can't go wrong with AFR's, just get the 190 and they will be good to go from the box. You should not have any problems getting 12s with it. If you look at some signatures, you can see that almost every car with super ram and afr's are in 12 or better.

Jeeesh guys,
I thought I would have more responses than that. There have to be a ton of you guys out there with different heads and similiar combinations that I plan on assembling. If that is all of you thanks for the replies that I did get. :jester But I think there are others that could shed some light for me. Thanks all.
