It took me 3 hours. ( I can hear the laughter all the way up here in Connecticut. ) It's a good thing I have been reading all of the post regarding this topic, it help quite a bit such as.....
-Keeping the alternator to exhaust braket, and when re-ataching it add some washers to the exhaust side.
All things said it freed up alot of space. The only problem I came across was removeing the hoses to the air box. The kit came with three plugs, I needed four.
Oh, and the other problem I had was the photocopied instructions on the back side of the instruction sheet. It had been copied and recopied over so many times that the photos were black smudges.
I did it also. I get some codes after driving over 20 minutues, though it may be something else as I have not scanned it yet, and don't use the car much.
Does anyone know the fine for this mod if you get cought on the street?
If a cop was to ask you to raise your hood, and actually KNOW that something is missing..... I would think something along the lines of a $25 equipment fine, that you could probably get waived if you went to court with a signed document from a mechanic saying that it is replaced.
I highly doubt you'd ever get "caught" though. :) I doubt it is like the fines placed on messing with the cats.
