Your local dealer is only half full of s--t. I just got an upper from my local dealer, he had to oder it, it took two days. The lower is available from NAPA, Advance Auto and Auto Zone to name a few. Be careful as I understand quality varies.

Don't order them through the dealer then, go to a parts store.

Well I was going to replace them all... since I'm replacing the water pump. I checked Advanced, AutoZone CarQuest, Napa PepBoys, Quadco and none of them can get the formed heater hose! They could order the upper and lower radiator hose. Chevrolet can't even do that.

Last Spring I ordered the heater hoses for my 1988 {it has the factory installed oil cooler} From a Chevy Dealer. Check another Dealer I do remember they was pricey.

If you can get the old one off in one piece, take it to teh auto store and ask to see the wall of hoses. Other hoses will have the same bends that you are looking for BUT will be longer or have extra that you can cut off to make the hose that you need. I have done this a couple times, never on a LT-1 vette though. Worth a try

There is also a small throttle body heater hose. It looks like a question mark. It's above the water pump. I ordered one from a dealer (haven't put it on, minor leak stopped). You'll see posts on how to bypass this if you choose.
