The rules state that you must hit 130 MPH in one mile, and are timed for the second mile - can't exceed 140, or you don't get a time slip.
What kind of power does it take for a C4 to do it? A lot of us have driven at over 130, but on dry pavement with no cops timing us. I suppose it takes more than one mile to get to 130 MPH, but I'm going this year - September 12 to 15 to see what is involved. In 2008, I'd like to make a stab at it.

El Mirage and other venues.
For top speed runs by highly modified cars at sites like Maxton, look for
posts by SonnyinVA, orangec6 and Jeffyvette. I believe they have
all cleared 200 by a good margin.
