Default Removing oil pan - question about convertor?

My car is a 94 automatic, the Helms Manual says that the left convertor needs to come down, but when looking at it, it seems that I should only have to remove the starter on the right side before removing the oil pan. What's the scoop?

I was able to get mine off with the converters on. You do have to pull the oil filter mount off though.

Yeh, I figured removing the oil filter mount shouldn't be difficult. However, on the other hand, the bolts on my convertor are rusted up pretty bad, and don't look like they would easily give it up.

The pan will come off with both converters still bolted up. You may get hung up on a crank couterweight toward the front of the engine though. Once the inspection cover is off just use a large screwdriver and bump the engine around until you get clearance.
