Does anyone know of an Aux fan kit that can be set to stay on after the car is shut down until it cools down to a certain temperature?
..maybe an external t-stat whould do the trick. however, if the car engine is hot along with the engine compartment, that fan could run a long time and drawing the current that it would could diminish the charge of the battery!...something to think about!

....no........just leave it be as they cool down when the wanna!.....my car (i live in florida) cools down relativly fast here....
sound like a weiner (winner). My next project is to tackle the AC, I know that the vacuum line that is suppose to go from the Pas side plenum to the spiltter at the back of the engine is not hooked up. but that will be another thread for tomorrow.
Thanks again for your insight, you are Da Mail Man

Doing that isn't going to help much other than maybe cool the water in the rad, certainly won't help the block which is what I presume you want to cool. The only way to do this is fit an electric water pump which will circulate the water after shutdown. Will release a few gee gees as well when your running.

I added an aux fan from an 85, and ran the aux fan relay pos. coil wire to the main fan power wire. Now, when the big fan comes on, the little one will too. I ran the aux fan power to the 10 ga. wire connection that's behind the battery, and added a fuse there.
I only ever had a problem when once when it sucked a plastic bag in there, and wound the bag around the aux fan motor, stopped the fan, and popped the fuse.
Made a crazy pattern on my air cond. condenser also
