any decent mechanic that knows what an old gen 1 small block chevy is will do. engine has been around for 50+ years. there's nothing exotic about a C4 that warrants that made-up extra high price tag of a so-called "high performance shop".
if a had a porsche carrera GT screamer and some whacked-out ferrari i'd be concerned with a hi-po shop. not for a 20 year old corvette. then i'd be prepared to have a lien put against my house to pay for the oil change bill
