I payed 600 (completely new maf sensor) bucks to have this freaking thing fixed. But no, it pops back up again. Same symptoms and everything. Lack of power, and complete bog down when pedal pushed more then 1/8th the way in.

Re: Code F'n 33 I hate it. (Springer's 95)
Change the Mass Air Flow Sensor burn off relays. They are a cheap fix. Also you could have gotten a defective air flow sensor. Change the relays and clear the code.
Code 33 can be a high voltage on the wire..
Did you check that to determine the wire was good and the ecm was fine?
A larger Throttle body can also set this code and will run rough.
The minimum air speed screw and TPS out of adjustment can set this code too then run rough as well.
33 is also an "unrealistic amount of airflow into the intake".
Check the TPS,min. air setting and possible carbon build up.
