Default L98 rebuild

What would need to be done to meet or excede the performance specs of a Dodge Viper? Could it be done and still remain 355cid?

Gen I or Gen II Viper? GTS or RT/10

If you're looking for a Gen I RT/10, yeah.... the HP is possible, but I doubt the torque.

To meet it, you would need primo stuff, to exceed... more cubes or a power adder.

My suggestion would be carburators, probably two of them sitting on top of a 6-71 BLOWER!!!!!!

This entire forum seems to exhibit some form of carburator anxiety. With my setup I would make more power with a 750 carb than the stock TPI. also the cost difference is considerable. Whats a miniram cost compared to a Torker manifold with a Speed Demon carb. :cry

The carb cars on here make insane power, but I think everyone is scared to go (forgive me here) "Backwards" in technology.

Amen Scorp....I can't afford to step back to < 10 mpg because I had a carb. While they are more expensive to work with, the benefits in savings on fuel mileage are staggaring.

I get 25.8 mpg on the highway with my TPI setup...can't complain a bit about that.
