dirty tranny question 700r4
hey Pete, and all else! my 700r4 needed a governor gear replacement & misc seals since it is outta the car, i tried to plug off the vents and inlets/outlets as best as i could, but im sure some crud and contaminents found its way into the casing, i have removed the gov, servo, the entire valve body, and pulled the tail end off and i am going to replace seals, how should i go about cleaning the trans? tilt it on its side and blow with air/clean with brake cleaner/mineral spirits and let it drain out? do i have to pull all the center guts out now? any info would be appreciated, im not a pro on these tranny's so go easy on me because i might not get er back together! LOL. i also had to clean out all the governor gear pieces!

ive done that already, just wondering if i got dirt "inside' the tranny, since ive never had one apart all the way (the center stuff) lol. so i wouldnt have to remove the pump and all the clutches and stuff?
