Starter bolts coming loose?
About 3 years ago I changed the starter on my '89. Recently, it has been giving me more problems starting, so I went under there to check things out. My plan was to pull the starter and get it tested to see if that was the problem. While under there, I noticed that the starter was loose. I tightened the bolts, and now everything is working fine again.
My question is what would cause the bolts to come loose after 3 years? Is this something that I should be worried about?

You're not dealing with the 'rust bucket' syndrome of the North East.
When I lived in California, just about every nut and bolt vibrated loose on a pickup truck I bought.
I've had the starter nearly fall out, the shocks come loose and 'oval' out the mounting holes. AND the bell housing separate from the engine.
Fun.
