Default HP increase with electric water pump????

Has anyone actually measured before and after on a Dyno to see if there was any increase in HP?? If so how much and what engine, L98,Lt1, Ls1, cubic inches or what ever ?????. I read there should be up to 20HP which I know is BS but wonder if 10 HP could be picked up.

I remember researching this subject myself and found a page with someone who dynoed the difference. It was ~10-15 hp at max rpm.

The higher rpm you are at the more hp you free up with an electric.

When I had my 70 LT1 on my chassis dyno, the fan belt came off on the third pull, it picked up 11 hp at the tires at 7200 rpm's. I beleive the HP gain will be lower on a late model LT1 because it does not drive the alternator.

LT1/4's hate heat, LSX engines are a little less sensitive since they have a plastic intake manifold.

You can really cool down the car with one, at least I can with mine.

It also runs real cool around town.

Nathan Plemon's dyno'd his car with an EWP, I haven't seen him around lately so here's his site:

I'm not sure of the horsepower gain, but when I put an ewp on my car it went from a 12.60 to a 12.19 with no other changes, except cooler air. As I recall it, it was about 20 degrees cooler, but the car ran consistent 12.30's after that, so it definitely made a difference.
