Default 84 rear end gear ratio codes

Have a 84 rear end I took out of a corvette many years ago. Was wondering if anyone can post the rear end codes for this year. I want to use it but need to determine the ratio to get the computer set up correctly. Thanks. I will have to go to the shop to get my numbers. Thanks

All but about 450 or so '84 vettes had the 3.07 D36, the lucky few got a 3.31 D36. That's about 1% of total production.

The RPO code #HE3 was in the 51,137 that came with the standard 3.07:1 diff. The other 410 had both RPO codes G92, performance ratio and GW4, for the 3.31:1 ratio. There are numbers stamped on the bottom of the carrier that either are, or will decode, the ratio.

Thanks everyone. The car I took it out of was a plain jane corvette so my guess is 3:07. Will confirm in the morning. Thanks again.

No. Whatever that is, it is meaningless for the diff ratio. Where are you looking?
