I have the Superam setup and I changed out my gears to 3:54. I noticed over the years its a little harder to get the car going when i step on the gas. I would like to be able to tap the gas and have the car start rolling like it used to with the old gears and intake. I've had the 3:54 setup and the Superam for years and I've driven it around plenty, so its not broken. Im just wondering if the problem is with the routing of the gas cable due to the Superam or is it the 3:54 gears that are making it do it. I usually put the car in overdrive when im at a stop because its less of a jump when i push on the gas. Its not a huge jump but it does get a little annoying. Is there anything i can do to adjust the gears or do you think its the way the gas cable is routed on the Superam?

I have a superram and 3:54 gears also. I can drive away smoothly from a stop in any gear, or just let off the brake with the car idleing and it will move forward. Sounds like you have a cable binding somewhere.
I put the car in park and turned the car on. I proceeded to push on the gas pedal and im thinking it should be alot easier. Its not real hard but I think it definitely should be easier. Im guessing by your replies it might be a throttle cable binding. I manually opened the throttle body and closed it and it seems fine. It snaps right back into place. The throttle pedal is night and day compared to my toyota. I will check tonight to see if the cable is binding somewhere along the way. Ive replaced the cable before many years ago after it snapped. Not that bad of a job............compared to the heater core i just replaced.
Where do you guys have your throttle cable routing through? I have mine underneath the Superam towards the driver side. I have the cruise control cable going over the top of the Superram. Also, if put the car in drive and keep my foot off the gas the car will move foward nicely.
actually its the throttle cable over the top of the plenum ,I have no idea what the one is going underneath the plenum. I removed the cruise control cable a few years ago now that i remember.
one last bit of infomation...I disconnected the cable from the throttle and pushed on the gas pedal. It was extremely loose and pivit thing on the gas pedal was nice and loose. Im thinking its not the cable and leaning towards the throttle body now. I dont know how easy the throttle should turn.
(side question) I do need another throttle because i broke the adjustment screw awhile ago. I dont know how i rigged it to stay in place. I think i used a strong spring or something. Plus, maybe a larger opening may be good. I do have a somewhat heavly modified 383stroker. the only thing stock is the block for the most part. Any suggestions on the throttle body?
I wanted to put my cables under the Super Ram plenum but I read somewhere that it will bind. I ran my cables over the top of the plenum and there are no issues.
