Default Confused!?!?!? Please help me!

I was wondering what this problem can be; when I accelerate I get kind of like a small back and forth vibration. (Kind of like the shaking right to left) It feels like it is coming from the back area but I’m not a hundred % sure. It will happen in the beginning and then when I speed up to a normal speed it seems to get better or I just can’t feel it because I’m going faster. I hope that I’m making sense because I want to get this fixed but it is hard to describe.

Thanks

hmmm, My first guesses would be:

posi going south

very bad rear suspension bushings

tires WAY out of balance/round

very bad half shaft u-joints

remember..these are guesses.

well you should get the car up in the air you will have to get a good look at all the parts under the car at the rear suspension to see if there is anything that is broke loose or what ever sorry that I don't have a more specific answer for your prob.

Since you're not familiar with car parts, you need to have the rear suspension, drive components, etc checked.

You can jack the car and rotate the disk brake rotors to check half-sheft U-joints.

A visual and feel will isolate loose or badly work suspension.

A torque wrench will show up a failing/bad posi though you will need a tool to span the lug nuts. If no U-joint problems you could just lay a patch and check the strips for equal darkness as a crude test and you will need the torque spec on the posi.

It's a long shot but ...... check your tire pressure.

I had the strangest slight vibration when I would first drive my car. I would get a slight vibration for the first 7-10 miles then would run smooth as butter. This problem came up when the weather started getting cold. I tried letting the engine warm up but that made no difference. After about a week of this my 'LTPWS' light came on. I put air in the tires and the vibration went away.

Yeah that was what I first thought but I checked the air pressure are they were fine. I had new rear brake pads put on last weekend. Could that have anything to do with it? I check and the lugnuts are on tight.
