I got the Ignition Coil Module wet last week and have not gotten the car (1994 LT1 Vette) to fire. Replaced opti and coil with new MSD's. Flow chart from FSM points to the ICM. I had it tested at a parts store and it tested OK. My questions are, has anyone gotten one of these wet and had it crap out and has anyone had one tested that came out "good" but was really shot? Thanks!
-Mike
I have never heard of water damaging the ICM, but that doesn't mean it won't.
Conversely, you should know that the tests done at the auto parts store do not always mean the part is good or bad.
If you've done all the right tests and signs point to the ICM, buy one, wrap it up so it does not get dirty, plug it in gently, and fire the car up. If it still doesn't run take the ICM back.
Better yet, find someone with a similar year car and swap yours into their car.
