I have traced out my no horn problem to be in the steering wheel( of course nothing could be easy with this car) so I have got to remove the air bag and it says to use a load tool or eqivelant---what is this load tool thing and how can I get around buying one? Does anyone know a link on a safe way to take this thing apart without blowing my head off my shoulders?
Thanks guys for any help on this--Walter
Disconnect the battery (or just the air bag fuse), and take the four screws out of the back of the steering wheel that hold on the air bag. It will fall out the front, and you will see the horn contacts. The battery is just a safety precaution.

there are 2 torks screws that hold the airbag module on my 91. as zr1fred said, disconnect the battery, pull the airbag fuse, and wait 15 min. 30 is better, as there's stored power for 10 min. in case of battery disconnect during an accident.
If you can, please take a pic of the horn contacts and post it with the airbag out of the way. I have the same issue with the horn not working. Interested in seeing what its going to take. I'm waste deep into other things so worrying about this minor annoyance is not a priority, but if it's an easy fix then I try it.

This is what you'll see if you pull the steering wheel off, the contact for the horn is a metal button type end on the wire with a spring and connector that simply is inserted into the white tube piece and locks in with a slight turn. Thanks are given to another forumn member, who's name excapes me at this time, for the pic's.
