1992 Supercharged LT-1

..just started drinking coolant; also exhaust gas in the coolant overflow.. head gaskets? It has also been running rich on the drivers side and drinking oil so we suspect valve guides or intake leaks.

I also want to upgrade to LT headers; if the heads have to come off for the gaskets then upgraded heads (also cam while we are in there). Plus tuning of course.

Trouble is, I cant find anyone to do the work - all local shops have moved on to C5's and C6's or are too busy.

Can anyone recommend a reliable C4 shop (plus tuning) in the ATL?

The alternative I could just sell up for a loss and buy something that is easier to tune.. I wonder how much a broken 480rwhp C4 with a rebuilt supercharger, alky injection and a bunch of other mods would be worth..??

In the depths of despair right now - I am tempted to start the work myself but I have never done head gaskets before plus I injured my back and I dont want to spend hours hunched over the engine bay..

any words of wisdom from you guys? keep me from despair!

I would have definitely done mine myself when my gaskets went if it wasn't my only means of transportation. Having the back problems is a whole different issue. Good luck in whatever you decide.

I would think selling would not be a good idea as you'll not get what the Vette is worth with the mods you have in it. And with it being in need of serious maintenance, get it fixed and then remove the mods and sell separately. Good luck.
