Is my blowby on nitrous normal.....
I've stated this in other threads but.....when I spray a 100 or higher shot I get oil spit up out the dipstick tube. I have no oil spit when I run without nitrous. I eliminated the pcv system and went to open breathers on both valve covers, and now I can spray a 150 shot with no oil spit at all. When the car is hot and idling I can see a little "smoke" drifting out the breathers. I have no smoke whatsoever out the exhaust or anywhere else. I can't check compression as I have a head gasket starting to go. I am going to replace the heads and intake, but don't want to do all that work if the bottom end is about ready to go. I can't afford a new bottom end and heads and intake right now, so I hope this is a normal situation. Is this normal, or are my rings or pistons beginning to fail me?

Smog pump for evac pump
I have now converted my smog pump to a vac pump. It pulls from one valve cover, and there is an open breather on the other valve cover. It outlets to the exhaust, downstream of the 02 sensor. Works great. I still wonder for sure if it is normal for a slight amount of smoke to drift out of breathers if a car is equipped with breathers on both sides. I think my bottom end is normal, but am not sure.
